Night Photography at Tower Bridge in London
The end of 2015, I decided to go back to basics with my photography to improve my knowledge and skills.
I had a interesting in night photography and since I’ve been living in London, it was a good opportunity to capture the great architecture of London.
Long Exposure At Night Photography
Night photography was something that I wanted to try out with long exposure at night. Didn’t have a clue how to do this, so did some research online and few videos on youtube and showed me the technique and the settings that, I needed for a long exposure shot at night. It was tough doing long exposure as lot of waiting around and playing around with the setting to get the right exposure at night. Finally doing some random few shots in my balcony at night, I got the hang of it and it was tough doing it, but the results were amazing!!
I just loved it afterwards going through the frustration with the settings on the camera.
Specially how you can capture with minimum ambient light around you and get amazing photos.
Tower Bridge In London At Night
Didn’t had no plan or expectation just turned up in Tower Bridge with my friend, he also was brushing up his skill in video. As there was no expectation at the time, what we are going achieve with the photo and video. “I mean is it going to work or not, did I have the right knowledge to achieve what I wanted”. So far what we did before we turned up in Tower Bridge, was good enough to try out the techniques and experiment with long exposure at night time to see what I can do.
So we were just walking around Tower Bridge at night with our photo and video gears. Looking for great places to capture the landscape.
First time I started to shoot everything was going wrong, took me awhile to come up with the correct settings for the perfect exposure and afterwards when everything was going perfect with photo, it was easy and fun to do.
I was happy what I captured for my second attempt. So I decided to enhance the image with Photoshop, nik software with filters and trying out different things to enhance the colours and bringing back the details of the image.
For me these images are good, but could be better in the future as I gaining more knowledge in technique of long exposure at night.
